In the Autumn of 2024, I was thrilled to be selected as Artist in Residence at East Quay in the West Somerset coastal town of Watchet. This was an opportunity to bring together strands of work from the past three years which have accompanied me as I have completed the training to become a counsellor/therapist.
"Sticks and Stones" is the working title I've been using  as a way of working with materials that are easy to come by, but also to allow me to explore an interior landscape - one of contact; relational space; boundaries and the space between vulnerability and resilience. 
During the residency I also got to make a site-responsive work on the wall of the studio. Using the concept of "Desire Lines" as a starting point, but with an awareness of not knowing where I wanted to go, I developed a 'map' of drawn lines, which were echoed in thread that held space for a journey of meandering, not knowing, collapse and tangle.
